These might make an interesting gardens tour next year, although, as you know, Coolwater Garden itself is open all year around excepting Christmas to New Year.
If coming from Limerick City, you could start in Cahernorry Church & Gardens in Ballyneety, which has an interesting stone circle, formal and informal ponds, topiary and many unusual features.
Then, next up would be Coolwater Gardens, halfway between Ballyneety and Fedamore.
Following on from that, you could incorporate Rockbarton Garden Centre, situated in an old livery yard near Holycross, site of Ireland’s largest stone circle.
Down beyond Bruff, you could visit Deborah’s Garden, which is opening next year.
Another garden nursery to visit then is Hennessy’s extensive one on Mill Road in Kilfinane.
Finally, pay a visit to O’Mahoney’s Garden near Ballylanders.
Of course, if you could incorporate West Limerick into your day, then Knockpatrick near Foynes is unmissable.
