Everything was far behind in the month of May because of our cold, wet Spring. Normally the first water lily flower pops its head above the water on the 1st of May. Not so this year; the first one didn’t surface until the 21st. The flowering cherries were also three weeks behind, in tune with everything else in the garden.
New bamboo design steel panels were installed in both gardens in order to help contain rampant Phormium leaves. (Picture was taken on a misty morning.)
Pictures above are of the Japanese Maple bed, one of the troughs of Mini Rhododendrons, a Forget-me-not from Turkey and flowers among the flagstones.
